In God we trust. But do we? We think the U.S. flag represents something of God. We put “in God we trust” on our money. Honestly though – what does either of those have to do with God?

The image is probably hard to decipher if you’re on a phone or if you have any kind of vision impairments, so let me explain it.
It’s actually three images overlaid into one.
The top one is a U.S. quarter. The key thing about it is the words, “In God we trust”.
It’s overlaid on a U.S. flag. No, it doesn’t have the words, “In God we trust” on it. But we act like somehow, we’re God’s favored nation. Plus, I added it, and the reason I’m writing this today is because, yesterday I saw a bumper sticker with a U.S. flag and those words – In God we trust – underneath the flag.
Those images are then overlaid on an AI image of God, reacting in shock to what’s going on. No, the people in that last image aren’t modern, and they’re not from the U.S. But there’s a reason for that.
So. with that backdrop, let’s see what’s going on. Why is God so shocked (not really – He knew this was going to happen, but still …)?
What have we done?
