Over the top claims about World War III?

“Over The Top Claims That This Is World War III” Just Plays Into Hands of ISIS

according to President Obama.

First of all, is it true that ISIS even wants to have World War III?

Strictly speaking – No – it’s not true.

What they actually want is Armageddon.  World War III isn’t their end game.

Neither of the first two World Wars produced Armageddon, so another world war actually falls short of what they want.

Here’s part of what the Qur’an has to say about “The End” –

96. Until, when Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj (Gog and Magog) are let loose (from their barrier), and they swiftly swarm from every mound.

97. And the true promise (Day of Resurrection) shall draw near (of fulfillment). Then (when mankind is resurrected from their graves), you shall see the eyes of the disbelievers fixedly stare in horror. (They will say): “Woe to us! We were indeed heedless of this; nay, but we were Zaalimoon (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.).”

98. Certainly! You (disbelievers) and that which you are worshipping now besides Allaah, are (but) fuel for Hell! (Surely), you will enter it.

99. Had these (idols, etc.) been aaliha (gods), they would not have entered there (Hell), and all of them will abide therein.

100. Therein breathing out with deep sighs and roaring will be their portion, and therein they will hear not.

101. Verily those for whom the good has preceded from Us, they will be removed far therefrom (Hell) [e.g. ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary); ‘Uzair (Ezra), etc.].

102. They shall not hear the slightest sound of it (Hell), while they abide in that which their ownselves desire.

103. The greatest terror (on the Day of Resurrection) will not grieve them, and the angels will meet them, (with the greeting): “This is your Day which you were promised.”

104. And (remember) the Day when We shall roll up the heavens like a scroll rolled up for books, as We began the first creation, We shall repeat it, (it is) a promise binding upon Us. Truly, We shall do it.”

from “English Translation of the Qur’an” by Dr Muhammad Muhsin Khan

Some sects of Islam, such as the ISIS terrorists, are out to try to force Armageddon now.  Even though the Qur’an says the day is up to God – there are some who claim to know when it’s going to be.  Of course, they don’t agree on when that’s going to happen.  Others are trying to make it happen now – even though the Qur’an clearly says it will happen when Allah wants it to happen.

Christianity also has it’s version of the End Times.  And the Bible says the day is unknown by anyone except God.  But some still try to predict when it will happen anyway.  And there are some who would like it to be “now” – even thought the Bible clearly says it will happen when God says it will.

The thing is – in this secular world, Christianity tends to be more and more looked at as something to bring “comfort” – something that we can pick and choose the things we want to believe – something to be either ignored or attacked.

Meanwhile – in areas where “Islamic Extremists” are – the views are very different.  Their religion is of paramount importance to them.  The debate really shouldn’t be over whether or not they have interpreted it correctly.  They truly believe their purpose in life is to bring the world to an end, so the unbelievers will be judged now – so that their version of Islam can be the religion of the world.

To treat them like we treat Christians is one huge mistake.  They will not quietly go away.  They will not quietly convert to secular beliefs.  Their religion is as important to them as Christianity should be to us – but isn’t.

If we took Christianity and God as seriously as they do – maybe we’d understand this.  But we don’t.

World War III is only the beginning for ISIS and other Islamic terrorists.

And – if anything – our president’s claims that those trying to tell the truth about them are going over the top and are playing into the hands of the terrorists is just plain wrong.

In fact – if anything – he is playing into their hands – by trying to make us believe that they are just like us – and will give up our beliefs.  Too many of us did exactly that.  I suspect that they won’t.
