The problem of problems.
Remember when you were in school – or maybe you’re there now – and we get the dreaded “word problems” in math?
Even if math itself wasn’t hard, those word problems were always tough.
Until one day – some really nice teacher explained the key to solving word problems. He (or was it she?) said the reason word problems were so difficult was that they had so many extra words. Those words were meant to confuse. They were meant to make it hard to solve. And they succeeded.

As you read through these, if you’re already a Christian – think about your own experiences, like with reading the Bible and what you’ve expected after that. You’ll probably see yourself as having gone through these very feelings.
If you’re not a Christian – this will give you an idea of what to expect, and let you know that if / when you feel discouraged or wondering about things as you move along – you’re not alone. It’s part of the process of getting to know / believe / follow Jesus.

But he’s still happy. He doesn’t have the energy he once did. He conserves it for what’s important – barking at the mailman, at other dogs, at birds, helicopters that he can see from the back windows.
